DETOXIFYING GREEN SMOOTHIE

500 ml (2 c) kale and/or baby spinach

375 –500 ml (11/2–2 c) fresh pineapple chunks

5 cubes ice (also see hint)

Juice of 1 orange

250 ml (1 c) strong CARMIEN REFRESH (GREEN HONEYBUSH, ROOIBOS & MINT) TEA (made with 2 tea bags), cooled

1. Place the kale and/or spinach, pineapple and ice cubes in a food processor and blend until smooth.

2. Add the orange juice and tea and process until well blended.

3. Stain through a sieve if preferred and pour into glasses. Enjoy!

HINT: DOUBLE-UP ON YOUR TEA AND FREEZE HALF OF IT IN AN ICE TRAY. USE INSTEAD OF THE ICE CUBES.
