News from the Farm: A Mid-Harvest Update

The harvest season is always a special time on the farm. It’s when months of careful preparation and nurturing finally come to life.

This month, we’ve been fortunate with ideal weather conditions—plenty of sunshine and just the right amount of moisture in the soil. With minimal rain to slow us down, our harvesting process has been smooth and efficient, ensuring we maintain the highest quality in every bundle we collect. Even with last month’s rainfall affecting our yield, we’ve been able to adapt and keep things on track.

Here’s a little update from the farm, straight from the heart of the harvest!

Hard at Work on Long Cut Rooibos

Right now, our focus is on harvesting Long Cut rooibos tea, both conventional and organic. This longer cut ensures a full-bodied, flavour-rich brew, making it a favourite for those who love a deep and aromatic rooibos experience. Our team is working diligently on the drying yards, carefully processing the tea to maintain its natural goodness.

With the favourable weather on our side, we’re making excellent progress, and we can already tell this season’s harvest is going to be something special.

Exciting Packaging Updates

Meanwhile, beyond the fields, we’ve been busy with something just as exciting—new packaging! We can’t wait to reveal it soon, and we’re sure it’ll bring a fresh new look to some of the blends in the Carmién range. Keep an eye on the shelves—you’ll be seeing it very soon!

Looking Ahead

With plenty more rooibos still to be harvested, we’re excited for what’s to come. Every year, this process reminds us of the dedication, skill, and passion that goes into every cup of Carmién rooibos tea.

A huge thank you to our hardworking farmers and team members who make it all possible and, of course, to you, our tea-loving community, for being part of this journey.
