Community Development
At Carmién Tea, social responsibility is built into our business. Our farm workers hold a 50 percent share in our processing facility, ensuring direct benefit from the value they help create. We invest in long-term community development through trusted partners like the Mouton Foundation and the ACT initiative. Programmes include early childhood education, after-school care, health services, skills training and housing support. By supporting livelihoods and improving quality of life in our sourcing regions, we help build a more stable, ethical and resilient supply chain for our clients around the world.

Education and Youth
At Carmién Tea, we believe education creates lasting impact. Through association with the Mouton Foundation, we support early childhood centres, after-school programmes and youth development initiatives within our farming communities. We also help upskill local educators through formal training, including courses at West Coast College. Beyond the classroom, we assist promising candidates with applications for bursaries and funding to further their studies and careers. From early learning to tertiary education, our focus is on building capability, opportunity and long-term value for both our communities and supply chain partners.
