Women’s Month is a good reminder to focus on the real needs of women. At Carmién, this isn’t a once-off campaign. It’s part of how we work. The Carmién Women’s Range was developed to support women through every stage of their lives, and it started with listening.

As part of our Customer Goodness promise, we put the needs of our customers first. That means responding to the feedback we receive and aligning our innovation with what people actually want and need. Women asked for rooibos teas that support hormonal health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and menopause. So we created them.

Listening, Learning, Developing

The Women’s Range came out of direct conversations with our community and growing awareness around women’s health. We looked at the research. Studies increasingly point to the need for more accessible, natural support for hormonal balance, fertility, digestion, and energy. We already had the foundation: rooibos (Modern Mom SA, 2025). We built the range from there.

After the success of our Nursing Tea, we decided to expand the range to cover all stages of life that women go through. Now, Nursing is stocked all over the world, and has supported women globally throughout the process of breastfeeding.

Each tea in the Women’s Range is formulated to serve a specific function. These are not general wellness teas. They’re purpose-driven blends based on real customer demand and health insights.

Targeted Support, One Cup at a Time

Here’s a breakdown of what each tea offers:

  1. Carmién Feminine: Designed to support hormonal balance and energy.
  2. Carmién Fruitful: Formulated to support fertility and reproductive health.
  3. Carmién Mom-To-Be: Offers support during pregnancy, including folic acid and digestive relief.
  4. Carmién Nursing: Helps support milk production and digestion during breastfeeding.
  5. Carmién Mom-Uplift: Aids post-birth recovery and emotional wellness.
  6. Carmién Menopause: Helps relieve menopausal symptoms like hot flushes and night sweats.

All are caffeine-free and rooibos-based, which means they’re naturally hydrating and high in antioxidants.

Why Rooibos Makes Sense for Women’s Health

Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free, low in tannins and rich in polyphenols like aspalathin, which help reduce oxidative stress. It doesn’t interfere with iron absorption, which is important during menstruation, pregnancy and menopause. It’s also soothing on the digestive system, making it a good choice for daily hydration.

For us, it made sense to use rooibos as the foundation of every blend in the Women’s Range. It’s safe, functional and already trusted by many women in their day-to-day lives.

A Business Led by Women, Focused on Women

Carmién is a women-led business. Many of our senior team, including our founder, are women. We also operate with a strong emphasis on social equity. Our processing facility, Bergendal Rooibos, is 50% owned by farm workers, many of whom are women. This creates a direct line of value from crop to cup.

When we talk about empowering women, it’s not just through product benefits. It’s through how we source, process, and reinvest in our people.

A Range Based on Trust, Not Trends

The Carmién Women’s Range wasn’t created to follow trends. It was developed to meet real needs, based on real data, through a trusted ingredient with proven benefits.

As always, our focus is quality, functionality, and transparency. You’ll find our Goodness Seals on every box. The Customer Goodness seal means this product was developed with direct customer input and made with their well-being in mind.
