Recipe developed and tested by Carmen Niehaus

1 litre strong Carmién Vintage Romance Flower Tea/or Floral Berry Tea, made with 45 ml (3 T) loose flower tea

OR 4 tea bags Carmién Blackcurrant/ or Kiddies Very Berry Tea

30–45 ml (2-3 T) berry concentrate (I use a low kilojoule brand, Slimsy mixed berry)

Extra berries and mint leaves Ice

1. This ice tea is very refreshing and ideal to serve at a picnic or lunch under the trees in the garden. As it contains no sugar it is perfect for a low-carb (Banting) diet.

2. Infuse the tea for 5—10 minutes until strong. Strain and cool.

3. Add the berry concentrate, extra berries and mint leaves and pour into a bottle that seals properly.

4. Cool till needed.

5. Pour into glasses, add ice and garnish with the mint leaves.
